Amar Ujala Representative

Mahoba. For proper implementation of National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme it is necessary that work is done with honesty and in a planned way. Only then the villagers can benefit from the scheme. These were the words of Project Director Madan Verma during a public hearing function organised by Gramonnati Sansthan.

The public hearing programme was organised under the auspices of Gramonnati Sansthan in the city's Ambe Palace. During the programme, while informing the villagers of the employment scheme, Madan Verma Project Director, DRDA, said that Gramonnati Sansthan gave information about the scheme in several villages. He said that women had also been included along with men in the schemes.

During the public hearing programme the villagers complained that their job cards were not made and that labours did not have information about the scheme. Complaints of non-availability of job cards were also received from some villages. On this Mr Verma said that for now in each village 50 job cards had been made available to the Gram Pradhan. After the registration of these cards, 50 job cards each would be made available in the next stage.

Block development officer S K Chaudhari said that some villagers complained about undue realisation of money during photography, whereas photography was to be done free of cost. No fee was being charged from the labours. Shiv Kumar Goswami and Dr Arvind Khare also addressed the villagers. The programme was conducted by J P Yadav and Rudra Pratap Mishra, Ramavtar Keshavdas, Mahesh, Uma, Kavita, Shyam Mohan, Kishore Kumar, Dileep Kumar, Devendra Chaurasia, etc., were also present.
