Mahoba, 5 June. On the occasion of World Environment Day Gramonnati Sansthan organised a workshop under the chairmanship of notable social worker Shiv Kumar Goswami. The workshop expressed concern over the exploitation of natural resources, leading to an increase in environmental pollution. While shedding light on the current state of environment pollution Goswami said that Mahoba had 6 to 8 per cent area forest covered, whereas to maintain environmental balance around 32 per cent area should be forest covered.
